August 30, 2018 / by Scott

Mike Davis goes by @GuyNAustin on Twitter because that's all he is: a regular guy in Austin who got tired of being sick & overweight at the age of 48--and decided to do something about it. He rejected conventional nutritional wisdom and plunged into a ketogenic diet, which enabled him to normalize his blood pressure and shed roughly 25% of his body weight in just 10 weeks with no exercise at all. He has maintained the weight loss for more than a year with no trouble thanks to his "carnivore-adjacent" eating plan.

Mike & his wife Marnia started a Youtube channel called KetOMAD to spread the word about their unusual approach to nutrition (which involves eating just one tremendously satisfying meal each day). Through tireless experimentation and interviews with other members of the ketogenic & carnivore communities, KetOMAD seeks to provide viewers with rugged citizen journalism in the age of ragged citizen science.
